Making Beeswax Balms - Workshop
Discover the art of natural skincare on our hands-on beeswax balm workshop.
During the session we will:
*Look at the special characteristics of beeswax
*Discover how bees produce beeswax
*The skincare benefits of beeswax
*See how beekeepers harvest beeswax
*Examine other natural ingredients that enhance the benefits beeswax and skincare products
*Discuss the addition of essential oils to complement the positive effects of beeswax balms
*Examine health and safety considerations and skin sensitivity to skin care products
*Briefly discuss current legislation regarding selling skin products
*Look at sourcing supplies and equipment
Participants will create two 30ml balms following Rivendell Bees recipes:
*Beeswax Foot Balm
*Beeswax Hand Balm
Why use beeswax in skin care products?:
Beeswax is all-natural, hydrating, and packed with antioxidants, making it an ideal ingredient for eco-friendly skincare. Its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties help protect and nourish the skin, while supporting sustainable beekeeping practices.
Workshop details:
The workshop duration is approximately 2 hours, 12.00 noon start, and takes place at The Old Dairy Farm Craft Centre, Upper Stowe, NN7 4SH.
All ingredients and containers are included.
Tea, coffee and cake is available for the duration of the workshop.
